Workshop on Water Assessments: Water-Energy-Food Nexus and Mapping W-E-F Stressors, 12-13 January 2017

The Sustainable Water Future Programme and the Future Earth Water-Energy-Food (W-E-F) Cluster Project are holding a workshop in the public access seminar room of the NOAA lab in College Park, Maryland on January 12 and 13, 2017.

The purpose of the workshop will be to:

  1. Consolidate inputs and perspectives from the Earth Observations community for the final report being prepared for Future Earth by the Water-Energy-Food (W-E-F) cluster project.
  2. Discuss the potential to use Earth observations to support water assessment activities in support of SDGs, the UN World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP) and the general advisory services to nations on the status of water management and water resources by nation and by basin.
  3.  Launch an End to End project on mapping stressors in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus as part of advancing the WEF Nexus agenda in Future Earth, GEO and GEOGLOWS.
